ok this is a long story...but am so fed up with doctors in this city...

last october 2007 i started to get fullness and pain in my left ear...i went to the hospital they said i had an ear infection...for 3 months straight GP,ER docs, walk in clinics kept diagnosing me with ear infection finally after 3 months they figured ok it can't be an ear infection they sended me off to a ENT doc who then said it was arthristis of the ear(what a joke)his intern was arguing with him telling him she could she redness in my ear and he kept saying there's absoultely nothing wrong with her she has arthritis of the ear....i came home in tears and pain from my ear...my dad took me to the walk in clinic and the doc there said he couldn't beleive the ENT doc couldn't see the bulging of the ear and this doc as well went along with the ENT doc saying its arthritis....(whatever) the fullness and pain in the ear would not go away....my GP doc, hospital, walk in clinics all could see my ear red cept the ENT(hmmm whats wrong with that pic) so from oct 2007 til sept 2008 i had major fullness in my ear and nobody would do anything..then all of a sudden one day i was reading my email out of no where the world started to spin the ringing got so loud in my ear i immediately laid on the floor and got my daughter to help me to get in bed...ok that was scary...next day same thing happened...then all of a sudden i was spinning every hour with tinnitious lasting 5-20min each time for that whole 2 weeks i was bedridden spinning and spinning and spinning...then the one morning i noticed ok this is 2 hours of non stop spinning had my dad take me into the hopsitpal the world just would not stop....they hooked me up to iv i was throwing up etc...couldn't control my bladder couldn't stand up without feeling like i was gonna fall...for 11 hours the world spun out of control...parents got me home into bed...for the next 2 days i had little attacks then they stopped all together...2 weeks later i thought i was getting a cold but ended up blowing mucus out of my nose like crazy for 2 weeks..then i noticed wow my ear feels good....now all of a sudden my ear is hurting again and extremely full feeling again...i went back to the ENT and again he was useless....i had one doc say it was meniere's another said the cystrals came loose, another said it was arthritis, another said it was TMJ,another said it was a viral....but yet no one will do any tests(again what is wrong with this pic)can any one steer me in the right diresction

1.saw ENT 2x said it was arthrits and sended me off to a TMJ doc who said i have TMJ fitted me with a retainer but after 4 months of wearing it thats when the attacks started
2.GP won't send me to a doc out of town for a 2nd opinion
3.had cat scan done no signs of tumor
4. been to neuoligist who says its either vial or meniere's
5.told GP serc dosen't help she says well its the top of the line and won't subsripe me with something else
6.tried sudafed, kettle pot, everything to clear the tubes, decongestions you name it.

i am fed up with not getting answers and a good doc can anyone tell me what i have or steer me in the right direction

damn kingston ontario lol

anyways, what you should do is this, either go to emergency room and tell the emergency doc this and he could refer you to the hospitals ENT specialist , or if you have already seen that hospitals ENT specialist, go to a different ER room.

Or- you could find a walk in clinic and explain your situation and if they are compassionate enough they will refer you to a different ENT specialist.

Or- you could find a new family doc that is accepting new patients. There is a LIST of new docs accepting new patients which you can grab at the emergency room/hospital.

This is what i had to do and all options worked for me. you just gotta be SERIOUS, convincing and be really desperate which in your case I think you already are so it should come easy to you.

good luck

It is almost impossible to live with tinnitus but you don't have to. If you are hearing the noises, whether all the time or intermittently, you must seek treatment immediately. But sadly, conventional treatments only treat the symptoms of tinnitus and may provide temporary relief at best.

The only way you could ever get rid of your tinnitus for good is by following the holistic approach to healing. By using a multidimensional treatment for tinnitus, we are tackling all tinnitus causative factors and eliminating these triggering elements from the root. This is the only path for permanent freedom from tinnitus.

yea my friend lives in Kingston, it's like a small city and their is a University ther that's why she lives ther and another freiend is moving there for school this month too. It's a nice place but i recommend you go to the GTA, greather toronto area, but then again it's expensive in this whole area. . . but i dont kow. . Square 1 is a good mall, that's in Mississauga. I dont know about how much money it is to have a house in Kingston but I do know that in London it is significantly cheaper to get a house there, my cousin is thinking of moving from here, burlington to there cuz of that. but i also heard it's kinda boring, but it all depends on what you like to do or what your family is like and that i dont kow and why u want to leave edmonton, i hear there is people flocking there like crazy to live there and that there is alot of jobs availbale and they all pay really goood money. ok good luck
