Question:
Are there any homeopathic cures for insomnia?
and yet, so ....

I am currently suffering from insomnia. My doctor has prescribed Lunestra, Ambien, even Tylenol PM, vicodine and valium. None of it is helping, and I still wake up every hour. My mind won't let me sleep, even when my body is tired from running or swimming. I don't like the side effects these drugs have on me (and I don't like taking drugs anyway). I just want a good night of sleep, worry free. Any suggestions?

Try some drops of pure lavender oil on each side of your pillow- you can get this from holland and barratt. There is also a herbal remedy called 5-HTP. This has been known to really help insomniacs. This can also be acquired from Holland and barratt. The usual advice not to watch TV before going to sleep, not drinking alcohol and caffeine based drinks before bedtime. A nice cup of horlicks made with milk and perhaps a nice chill out CD- all this mixed with the relaxing scent of lavender. Good luck and hope this helps.

I have no doubt that there is a homeopathic cure. Since it works on the principle of using a poison that has the same effect as the problem you have, but at very low concentration, I would think that a very dilute coffee or tea (with caffeine) might help.

There is a synthesized B vitamin compound call GH3 or Procaine. It was discovered in I think 1800's but has been studied recently during the 70's.

Anyway, modern science and medicine are coming to a conclusion that illnesses and diseases aren't an illness of say, an organ or body system. But rather an illness of the cell (for example, skin cells or kidney cells or neurons, etc.)

So what this vitamin, (with about 10 other helper vitamins) does is it heals the cells. And if you heal the cell, either the illness/disease will go away or your body will be strong enough (because the vitamins heal all your cells!) to fight it off on its on.

BUT THIS IS IS NOT A CURE. The FDA outlaws me saying that anything non-prescription will cure.

Anyway, the place I know to get it from is www.cellhealthmakeover.com

The product I'd recommend is Vitacel 7 or 9, although all of them have GH3 in them. Just some have more helper vitamins and some are cheaper.

Scroll down and it has everything it helps as a link to testimonials. And you can call the people. I did.

Don't ever take the sleeping pills route!!

1. They will damage your liver big time and you can get into serious health problems.

2. You will get hooked up on them and you won't be able to have a normal life any more if you don't take your pills everyday.

The sleeping pills industry is damaging our health by capitalizing on our ignorance, and by distracting people from effective and natural ways to deal with this problem. I had been taking prescription sleep medications [Ambien] for over 5 years. It stopped working and I simply took more. Still did not work. Nights were very difficult - medication put me to sleep but I would wake up after 2–3 hours with a strong sympathetic response (fast pulse, pounding heartbeat, wide awake alert). It was a very difficult cycle to break. I was really in bad shape due to lack of sleep.

After years of struggling I was able to cure my insomnia naturally and pretty fast. I followed the Sleep Tracks sleep optimization program, here is their official web -site if you want to take a look: http://www.insomniacure.net

Ohhh..and Good Luck!

I would suggest making sure that your bedroom is pitch dark (not even any light from an alarm clock). If that's not possible, get one of those sleeping masks to put over your eyes to block out all light. When light hits your eyes (even though your eyelids) it tells your brain to start waking up.

Also, get a fan or one of those sleep machines that plays "white noise". That will block out any other noises that might be triggering your brain to go into wake mode.

Don't drink any caffeine or eat any heavy foods at least 4 hours before you go to sleep, and sit in a darkened room for the last hour before you want to go to bed.

A last ditch resort is to take melatonin, which will help you go to sleep, but you can become dependent on it, and if light hits your eyes it will stop absorbing it and the effects will be nullified.
