How painful is the tetanus diptheria acellular pertussis TDaP vaccine for adults?

I was wondering if this shot was painful because I'm due for my next tetanus shot and a nurse told me I needed a dose of the TDaP instead of the TD.
I am so afraid of this shot because I don't know if it is painful.
When I was a kid, I had some doses of the older DTP or DTwP vaccine, Diptheria Tetanus whole cell pertussis.
Those shots hurt like hell, I remember two that I got. One on top of my shoulder. It felt like wasp stings.
I think I heard that even the new DTaP Diptheria Tetanus acellular Tetanus for kids has reduction in side effects then the regular DTP.
does the TDaP shot hurt as bad as the DTP or DTaP if that one even hurts.
Please let me know, I'm so hesitant to get this shot.
I have gotten TD tetanus Diptheria shots without the pertussis before and that shot was a piece of cake, did not hurt at all.

It depends on how good the person injecting is, however the newer Tdap and DTap vaccines are supposed to be much better tolerated than DTP.
